Hummus Toast is officially a thing.. we tried out a few toppings to pair with Lilly’s roasted red pepper hummus, black bean hummus, and our classic hummus.

1 – roasted red pepper hummus topped with a quick sauté of beets, red onions, and pomegranate seeds. Chop a beet into bite-sized pieces. Sautee in a pan with a little melted coconut oil, water, and balsamic vinegar. Add diced red onion and season with salt and pepper. Cook over a medium heat until beets are firm to the bite, but not mushy. Blend in pomegranate seeds. Refrigerate mixture, and serve on top of Lilly’s roasted red pepper hummus spread onto a favorite bread.

2 – Black bean hummus is simply spread onto your favorite whole grain or gluten free bread. Top with sprouts. Pictured here are broccoli sprouts, but all kinds of sprouts, clover, onion, etc, are good.

3 – Classic hummus is the perfect basic layer of hummus toast, topped with sautéed mushrooms. Stir fry cremini, button, shiitake, or morel mushrooms in olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
